Description

Import/Export (Magic xpi 4.1)

The Magic xpi Import/Export functionality provides a convenient way to easily save or load project objects. The Export functionality lets you save a project's object into a file. The Import functionality lets you import objects directly from another project or from a previously saved export file. This enables objects developed in one project to be shared and reused in other projects.

You can perform an Import or Export operation on the following parts of the Magic xpi Suite:

  • Business process (including all flows)

  • Flow (including all steps)

  • Step

Note:

External files, such as XSD files, will not be imported or exported. These files should be moved manually.

Handling business process objects

There are two ways to access the Import or Export options for a business process:

  • When parked on a business process, right-click to select the Import or Export option.

  • In the Tools menu, select the Import BP/Flow or Export BP/Flow option.

Handling flow objects

There are two ways to access the Import or Export options for a flow:

  • When parked on a flow, right-click to select the Import or Export option.

  • In the Tools menu, select the Import BP/Flow or Export BP/Flow option.

Note:

You can import one flow only, or one business process with all of its flows.

Handling step objects

To access the Import or Export options for a step:

  • Park on a step and right-click to select the Import or Export option.
