Component and Project Settings (Magic xpa 4.x)

You can specify ECI and project details by entering information for the following properties:

Component Settings Section

Field

Description

Component Name

The component name is mandatory and cannot be longer than 30 characters. The component name is used to create the final ECI file and directory. The ECI file name will be the component name.

Description

You can enter a short description for the component.

Revision

You can enter a revision number for the component.

Load Immediate

You can determine whether to load component immediately.
A user-defined function of a component is available for execution in the host application, only if the component is loaded (before the task that uses the function) is opened for the first time. To avoid cases in which a user-defined function is required and the component is not loaded yet (Load Immediate=No), the Load Immediate property of such a component is always set to Yes. Since the Load Immediate property is set before the modules are included, you can set the Load Immediate property to Yes or No. If user-defined functions are included in the ECI, the Load Immediate property is automatically set to Yes.

Component Type

You can enter a string to specify a component type. The default type is Magic xpa.

Project Settings Section

Project File Name

You can enter the folder name or browse to the folder where the project’s source files are located. It is mandatory that you enter the Project Folder or the Cabinet File Name.
