Version Control - Default Database (Magic xpa 3.x)
Most of the Version Control products use a default database for retrieving your projects.
This topic explains how you can set the default database for Visual SourceSafe and PVCS.

Visual SourceSafe
|
From The Visual SourceSafe product, select the File menu, select Open SourceSafe Database, select a database, and select the Open this database next time I run Visual SourceSafe check box.

PVCS
|
For PVCS, you have to set the default database in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ PVCS\ Interfaces\ SCC\ DefaultProjectDB
For example: ?PVCS Version Manager?d:\Pvcs_Db?
Where d:\Pvcs_Db describes the database location.
Note: After you install PVCS, it uses the common database, which is created by default.
