Variable Properties (Magic xpi 3.x)

You can use the data from variables as a Source or a Destination. All variables available for the project are displayed in the Variable Properties dialog box. You should select the variables that you want to use:

  • If you use a variable as a Source, you use the data in the variable to map to the Destination. In the dialog box, select the variables you want to be available for mapping.

  • If you use a variable as a Destination, you update the value of the variables when you map Source data to it. In this case, you select the variables that you want to update in some way.

The Variable Source and Destination Properties dialog boxes have the following properties:

Select the variable(s) that you want to use in the schema.

All variables defined for the project are available in this list.

If you want to use a variable that is not in your project, you can add it to the correct repository directly from this dialog box. Click Variables to open the Variables for Flow dialog box. Click the relevant variable tab, and add the new variable to the repository. Click OK to close the repository, and to return to the Variable Properties dialog box. The variables that you added are displayed in the Variables column.
