Using Magic xpa on Windows 8 (Magic xpa 2.x)

Description

When the UAC is not disabled and you try to run the MgxpaStudio.exe file not as an Administrator you will see this error message:

Solution

Here are three optional solutions to solve this issue.

  1. Run mgxpastudio.exe as Administrator.

  2. Disable the UAC:

  1. Go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Action Center->Change User Account Control Settings.

  2. Set the User Account Control setting to Never Notify.

  3. Restart your machine.

  1. If it is already disabled, check that it is disabled in secpol.msc (Local Security Policy)-> Local Policies-> Security Options and disable all of the User Account Control (UAC) settings:
