Description

Using Cross Reference (Magic xpi 3.x)

You can carry out a Cross Reference on the following parts of the Magic xpi Suite:

  • Flows

  • Servers

  • Applications

  • Component instances

  • Component models

  • Publish and Subscribe

  • Variables (context variables; environment variables - only if the environment variable is used in the EnvVal function)

  • ODS

  • Rights


To carry out a Cross Reference search:

  1. Click in the area where you want to search.

  2. Right-click and select Cross Reference from the shortcut menu or press Ctrl+X.

Magic xpi displays the search results in the Cross Reference Results window.

Note:

  • You can stop the Cross Reference search at any time. The results displayed will reflect the process up to this point.

  • Cross Reference is not available on newly-created objects.

The following table displays the areas searched, where you need to click to search the area, and the results displayed by Cross Reference for each area.

What to Search

Click in:

Displayed Results

Flow

  • Flow Navigation tree

  • Flow pane for specific flows

  • Services (Invoke Flow, Invoke Flow Delay, PSS Remove, PSS Subscribe, Schedule flow)

  • Links to BP activities

  • Scheduler

  • Error Flow

  • Logic Flow

  • Cleanup Flow

PSS

  • PSS Repository

  • All the flows that are subscribed to the PSS Name.

  • All PSS Services that subscribe to, publish, or remove the cross-referenced PSS Name.

Context variables and environment Variables

  • Flow Repository

  • All the expressions in the Flow Logic that use variables.

  • All Services expressions where variables are used.

  • Flow Data Service

  • Data Mapper – variable

Note:

Cross-reference for environment variables is supported only if that variable is used in the EnvVal function.

Server

  • Server Repository

  • Flow Components in a flow

  • Topologies

Component Instance

  • Any step in the flow

  • All the steps that refer to the same mff file (for uniPaaS programmers only).

Application

  • Applications Repositories

  • BP Editor

  • Topologies

Component Model

  • Components Repository

  • Steps that include that component

ODS

  • ODS Repository

  • Flow Data

  • Flow Logic expressions

  • Any other expressions

Rights

  • Rights Repository

  • Users/Groups

  • Flow
