UDS Properties (Magic xpi 4.13)
You can use UDS models as a Source or a Destination. UDS entries are entered in the UDS Repository. If you want to use a UDS key that is not in your project, open the UDS Repository by going to the Project menu and selecting UDS. You can then add additional UDS models to the Repository. You can also open the UDS Repository by clicking the UDS button in the UDS Source and Destination properties dialog boxes.
The Properties pane contains the following properties:

Name
|
Enter a name for the schema.

Description
|
Enter a description for the schema.
|
UDS Model
|
Click to open the UDS List. This list displays the UDS models that you created in the UDS Repository, and is read-only. Click Select to choose the required UDS model from the list. This property is enabled only if UDS Variable Type (below) is set to Dynamic.

UDS Variable Type
|
Determines the UDS variable type. Select one of the following from the drop-down list:

Dynamic Variable
|
Click to define a dynamic UDS name or expression with the Expression Editor. The expression must evaluate to a flow variable name of the same UDS type as this Source. A dynamic flow variable will be created In the Destination. This property is enabled only if UDS Variable Type (above) is set to Dynamic.

Variable
|
Click to open the Variables List. Select a UDS type variable. UDS variables behave in the same way as other variables. This property is enabled only if UDS Variable Type (above) is set to Fixed.

UDS Index
|
If you defined UDS models in the UDS repository, and selected the Index check box there, the indexes will appear here. This property is only available for UDS Sources.

Append UDS
|
Appends data to an existing UDS variable. Select one of the following from the drop-down list:
