Triggers (Magic xpi 4.13)

This section includes an activity or event that brings the business logic, the flow, to life. A flow may be triggered by one or more activities or events, and should supply the relevant entry information.

A Trigger definition can include:

• Trigger type (note that a process can be invoked by one or more triggers):

• • HTTP

  • Web Service

  • New file (Directory, FTP)

  • New event (Java, COM, etc.)

  • Scheduler

  • Email

  • New message (Messaging queues)

• Main data flow – definition of logic and business rules that need to be enforced for processing the incoming data

• Data format

• Frequency

• Security and authentication
