The Color Rules Tab (Magic xpi 3.x)
For greater visual clarity, you can employ different colors for variables, and functions in the Expression Editor.
To define a specific color, follow these steps:

Select the Tools menu in the Magic xpi Studio.

Click Customize. The Customize dialog box opens.

Select the Color Rules tab on the Customize dialog box.

Click the button next to the color setting that you want to change. These are:

Default Color
-
Variables Color
-
Functions Color
-
Operators Color
The Color palette opens.

Select the desired color, and click OK on the Color palette.

Finally, click OK to close the Customize dialog box and to set your chosen colors.

In the same way, you can also set the Expression Editor font from the Customize dialog box.
Click the button next to the Font setting. Then select a font, a style, a size, and a script, and then click OK.
