Text Search (Magic xpi 4.5)

Magic xpi provides a tool that lets you search your project for particular text in flow or component properties. You can access the Text Search by pressing Ctrl+SHIFT+F from any location, or by going to the Edit menu and selecting Find followed by Find Text. The Find Text dialog box opens, where you enter the search parameters.

You can also:

  • Define where the search will be executed by selecting either Current Document or Current Project from the Look In drop-down list.

  • Narrow the search by selecting the Narrow the search to check box and then selecting either Step name only (default), Node name only, Sources only, or Repositories only from the drop-down list. The options displayed here are determined by your selection in the Look In drop-down list.

  • Further refine your search by selecting the Match case or Match whole word check boxes under Find Options.

When you click Find All, Magic xpi runs the search and opens the Text Search Results window that contains the search results. Here, you can go directly to any location referenced in the search results by double-clicking on a particular result item, by right-clicking on that item and selecting Move To from the context menu, or by clicking .
