Text Area (Magic xpi 3.x)
You can use the Text Area tool to attach text to elements in your business project design. You can also use a Text Area to add labels to identify a set of activities and resources that form a business process. You can also label locations, systems, areas, or sub-organizations.
Insert a Text Area by selecting Text Area from the Insert menu. Once you select the tool, you then draw the Text Area where required and enter the desired text. You can resize the Text Area by selecting the area and dragging the sizing handle to the desired size.
You can change the way the Area looks by selecting the Area, right-clicking and selecting Properties from the menu to open the Text Area Properties dialog box, which has these properties:

ID
|
An internal identifier number generated automatically.
|
Application
|
Click to select an application from the list of applications available in the project. This indicates that the Text Area is handled by the application you select.

Font
|
Click to select a different font for your text.
|
Color
|
Click to select a different color for the Text Area.
|
Border Style
|
Select whether to use a border with the Text Area.
|
Alignment
|
Define the position of the text within the Text Area.
|
Document
|
Click to select a text file. You can open the text file by right-clicking the Text Area's border. You can then copy and paste the contents of the text file into the Text Area. Click to view the text file.

Click OK to save your entries and close the dialog box.
Click Cancel to close the dialog box without saving your changes.

You can resize the Text Area by selecting the Area and then dragging the sizing handle to the desired size.

You can move the Text Area by selecting the element and dragging it to the new location.

You can delete the Text Area by selecting the element, right-clicking and selecting Delete from the menu.

You can add a call out to the Text Area by selecting the edges of the area, right-clicking, and then selecting Add Callout from the shortcut menu.

You can minimize Text Areas by selecting Minimize All Text Areas from the Edit menu.

You can maximize Text Areas by selecting Maximize All Text Areas from the Edit menu.
