Temporary Database - Web Service Tab

The temporary database is used to store data fetched from the Web service. In RIA, this data is then sent to the client in chunks, as from a regular database.

If the database is defined as a Web Service database, then a temporary database must be defined.

Zoom to select a temporary database. The database list does not contain the following databases:

• Web Service database

• Local database

• IMDG database

Usually a Memory database can be used, but it depends on the amount of data and, in RIA, it also depends on the amount of users per engine. For example, when you have 500 records per data source per context, the memory consumption can be large. In this case, you should consider using another temporary database, such as the MSSQL tempdb database. For more information, see: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms190768.aspx.
