Studio and Runtime Prerequisites (Magic xpa 3.x)
The Studio and Runtime modules of Magic xpa are based on the .NET framework.
You must have .NET Framework V4.0 (or above) installed on your machine.
For the Studio, you also need to have .NET Framework V2.0 SP2 or V3 installed on your machine.
When using GigaSpaces as the middleware, you must have .NET Framework V4.0 (or above) installed on your server.
Note: It is recommended to install .NET framework using the Windows Add Remove features component.
Studio
The Magic xpa Studio is based on Microsoft Visual Studio, which cannot be started from a network folder. Therefore, it is not possible to start Magic xpa Studio from a network folder. Since version: 3.0
Runtime
The .NET runtime security policy (by default) disables code from running if it exists on a network drive. In order to run the Magic xpa Runtime engine from a network drive you need to adjust your security policy.
