Source/Destination Management Dialog Box (Magic xpi 3.x)
The Source/Destination Management dialog box is where you define the Sources and Destinations that you want to use in your Magic xpi project. You can enter a maximum of 99 Sources and 99 Destinations. This dialog box has the following properties:

Source area

ID
|
An internal identifier number. The ID is automatic and shows the order in which these entries will be displayed in the Data Mapper screen.

Name
|
Enter a name for the Source file. The name is used as the file’s title in the Data Mapper screen. It must not have spaces or special characters.

Type
|
You can select Database, Flat File, XML, IFC Model, Variables, ODS, or UDS.

Properties
|
Click this button to access the Source Properties dialog box.

Destination area
|
ID

This button is enabled only when there is at least one Destination with valid values as specified below:

When you select XML as a Source or Destination type, you need to make sure that the schema was selected and its root was set, and that the data Source or Destination was fully defined.

When you select Database as a Source or Destination type, you need to make sure that an SQL statement has been created.

When you select Flat File as a Source or Destination type, you need to make sure that its structure is fully defined.

When you select IFC Model as a Source or Destination type, you need to make sure that a component was selected. If you are working with SAPB1, you should also select an object.

When you select Variables as a Source or Destination type, you need to make sure that at least one variable was selected.

When you select ODS as a Source or Destination type, you need to make sure that an ODS was selected.

When you select Call Flow as a Destination type, you need to make sure that a flow was selected.

When you select Template as a Destination type, you need to make sure that a template file was defined and a data Destination was set.

When you select UDS as a Source or Destination type, you need to make sure that a UDS model was selected. You also need to select a UDS variable or a dynamic UDS.

In this dialog box, you can reorder the Sources and Destinations by clicking the and buttons. When you use these buttons, all of the predefined mappings are retained.
