Setting the Proxy Server for Debugger (Magic xpi 4.13)

The user can configure the proxy server for the Debugger in the Magic xpi Studio.

To set the proxy server for Debugger:

  1. Expand the Debug xpi menu and select Settings.

  2. This will open the Options dialog box. Alternatively, this box can also be opened by clicking the Options sub-menu under the Tools menu.

  3. Expand the Magic xpi Debugger menu and select Proxy.

  4. Park on the Proxy type and select the desired type from the drop-down list.

The user can configure following types of proxy settings for the Magic xpi Debugger.

Proxy Type

Description

None

The Magic xpi Debugger will use a direct connection to the Internet.

System

In this case, the Magic xpi will use the system configured Proxy Server. The system proxy server can be configured via the proxy server settings in the Local Area Connection (LAN) settings. To configure the proxy server, go to the Internet Options. Park on the Connections menu and click LAN settings to enter the proxy server details.

Custom

In this case, the user can define the Custom proxy server specifically for the debugger. The user will have to provide the proxy server address and the port information in the Address and Port fields respectively.

The Custom proxy settings are disabled when None or System types are selected.
