Setting Up the Client (Magic xpa 3.x)

From the Server repository, enter a server entry with the Magic Request Broker as the server type and with the Magic Request Broker address or port number.

From the Service repository, enter a service entry with a descriptive name. Zoom from the Server column to select the Default Broker from the Server list. Zoom from the Endpoint column and select a project.

From the Logic Editor, select the Call Remote operation. From the Call Properties sheet, enter the parameter values as described in the table below:

Service
|
The name of the Service from the Service repository. You can select a Service from the Service list.

Program Name
|
The public name of the program to be run.
|
Result File
|
Zoom from this field to specify the file name for the return results. All result data is written to the selected result file.

Return Code
|
Zoom from this field to the Variable list to select the name of the Numeric Return Code variable. If positive, the value returns as the request identification of the request.
|
Reason Code
|
Zoom from this field to the Variable list to select the name of the Reason Code variable. If positive, the value returns a reason string for the returned request.
|
Message ID
|
Zoom from this field to the Variable list to select the name of the Message ID Code variable. If positive, the value returns a message identification of the request.
|
Priority
|
Zoom from this field to select the expression that determines the conditions of the Call Remote execution.

Note: Before the Magic xpa client can issue Call Remote requests, the Magic xpa enterprise server must be started. Each enterprise server must be connected to a messaging server.
