Scheduler services contain the following parameters:

Parameter

Description

Scheduler Type

When you want the flow invocation to take place. Select one of the following from the drop-down list:

  • Interval: Select this for user-defined intervals other than the three types listed below. For example, every day at 10:00 for one month.

  • Daily: Select this to schedule a flow by day. You can define the time of day and the daily frequency (for example, every two days) in this screen.

  • Weekly: Use this to schedule a flow by week. You can define the day of the week to execute the flow, the time of day and the weekly frequency (for example, every two weeks).

  • Monthly: Use this to schedule the flow by month. You can define which months to execute the flow, the days in the month and the time of day.

After you have made your selection, the options in the dialog box will change. See below for an explanation of the options for each of the schedule types.

If you select Interval in the Scheduler Type parameter (above):

Calculate Scheduler runtime at startup

Defines the start point that the Scheduler will start calculating from. If checked, the Scheduler will start calculating from the time that the server loaded.

When this check box is selected (default), you can enter the Schedule interval in days, hours, minutes, and seconds. For example, if you want to run the Scheduler every two hours, you should enter 2 in the Hours field, and the server will run at two hour intervals after the server loads.

If this check box is not selected, you need to enter the time past the hour (a number between 0 and 59) that you want to start the Scheduler run, in the Minutes after the hour field. You also need to enter the interval, in hours, in the Hours field. The Scheduler run will start from the current hour as long as the Minutes after the hour value has not passed. For example, if the current time is 12:20, and the Scheduler is set to run every two hours and 35 minutes, the Scheduler run will start at 12:35 and then at 14:35, and so on.

Details

Days: Enter the number of days in the interval.

Hours: Enter the number of hours in the interval.

Minutes: Enter the number of minutes in the interval.

Seconds: Enter the number of seconds in the interval.

If you select Daily in the Scheduler Type parameter (above):

Every

Select the number of days that the schedule is executed.

For example:

The number 4 means that the Scheduler will be triggered every 4 days.

The number 7 means that the Scheduler will be triggered once a week.

Time(s) to execute

This is a selection box in which you enter a list of times during the day that you want to trigger the Scheduler.

Click to open the Enablement Time list. Add the time(s) of the day that you want to execute the flow.

If you select Weekly in the Scheduler Type parameter (above):

Select Days

The days of the week on which the Scheduler will be invoked.

Every

The number of weeks that the schedule is executed.

For example, you can define that the Scheduler will be triggered every other week (by entering 2), or every fourth week. This does not necessarily mean that this is the end of the month.
