SAPB1 - Component Connections (Magic xpi 3.x)

Before you can work with the SAPB1 connector, you must institute a connections procedure. This procedure creates new database connections to SAPB1 databases. Every step that refers to a different connection has its own connection during runtime.

Creating New Connections

You can define as many database connections as you want in Magic xpi's Resource Repository. You can then indicate which connection to use at various times in your project. Click here to learn how to do this.

Once you have defined the required connections, you can then configure the SAPB1 connector.

Termination of Connections

SAPB1 connections are terminated in the following cases:

  • When the Keep Session Open check box in the configuration screen of the SAPB1 connector is unchecked.

  • When the Disconnect command is used. You can select this only when you are using the SAPB1 connector method interface.

  • When the Magic xpi Server stops.
