SAP R/3 Services (Magic xpi 3.x)
When you configure SAP R/3 as a service, you need to define the following parameters (parameters in bold are mandatory):
SAP R/3 Resource
Select a SAP R/3 resource from the drop-down list.
Note:
You should make sure that you have already configured a SAP R/3 resource in the Resource Repository before you try to configure your SAP R/3 service.
SAP GW Host Name
Enter the host name of the SAP R/3 gateway. You can also click to open the Environment Variables List. Here, you can select an environment variable to use as the host name.
SAP GW Service
Enter the service details of the SAP R/3 gateway. You can also click to open the Environment Variables List. Here, you can select an environment variable to use as the service name.
Progid
Enter the program ID that will be registered at the SAP R/3 gateway. You can also click to open the Environment Variables List. Here, you can select an environment variable to use as the program ID.
Connection Count
Enter the number of RFC connections that will be used for parallel processing.
Since version: V3.3
When you have defined the required parameters, click OK to save your settings and to exit the dialog box. Alternatively, you can click Cancel to exit the dialog box without saving the settings.
Note:
Defining two projects with identical service definitions will lead to problems in Magic xpi. When two projects run with the same definitions and different iDOCs, some iDOCs will be lost since they will go to the other server where they will be ignored.
