Requesters (Magic xpa 4.x)

A client may issue a request to an enterprise server only through a supported requester. Each client has a requester.

The major requester types are:

• Magic requester – The Magic xpa engine has a requester module as an integral part of the engine.

• Internet requester – Magic xpa provides two types of Internet requesters – CGI and ISAPI.

• Command line requester – Magic xpa provides a command line requester that can be executed from an OS Shell.

• Managed requesters

Note: When Magic xpa is installed, an application pool named MagicxpaAppPool and a virtual directory mapped to the Scripts folder are created.
