Replicating Mapper Nodes (Magic xpi 4.5)
Magic xpi lets you replicate the Data Mapper's compound nodes in XML type Sources and Destinations. This allows you to map data to specific occurrences in the Destination, and to assign specific occurrences of compound Source nodes to Destination fields.
To replicate compound nodes in the Data Mapper, follow these steps:
-
Drag a Data Mapper component into the flow.
-
Double-click or right-click on the Data Mapper component and select Configuration from the context menu to open the Data Mapper screen.
-
Drag an XML mapper schema from the Toolbox pane into the Source or Destination trees.
-
Right-click on the XML schema and select Show Properties.
-
In the Properties pane, select Yes from the Replication parameter's drop-down list. You cannot replicate node instances without doing this. The compound node now carries a #1 suffix.
-
Click Save.
-
In the Data Mapper screen, right-click again on the compound node that you want to duplicate. Select Add Replication from the context menu. This duplicates the compound node, along with all entries underneath it.
The replicated compound node carries a #2 suffix. This new node is added underneath the node that you just duplicated. The new instances are numbered sequentially. You can repeat the replication process, without limit, by right-clicking the original compound node, or also by right-clicking any of the replicated nodes.
If you want to remove a replicated compound node, right-click either on the original or on the replicated compound node, and select Remove Replication from the context menu. This removes the last compound node that you replicated.
When you have finished, click Save to save your mappings.
Note:
|
-
If you do not map a field to a duplicated Destination instance, the instance is not created.
-
You cannot replicate SAPB1 components' Query and Delete operations.
