Programs for a Single Table (Magic xpa 3.x)

To execute or generate a program for a specific database table, move the insertion point to that table's line in the Data repository. Then select Options/Generate Program. Magic xpa runs the Check Syntax Utility to check the file definition for any errors. If the file is in order, the Program Generator dialog box opens.

When the dialog box opens, it includes a set of default values. You can run the generator immediately with these default settings.

If you run the generator in the Execute mode, Magic xpa will generate and run the program but will not save it in the Program repository. If this is an Export or Import operation, Magic xpa will generate a batch program. Before running a batch program, Magic xpa opens the Start Execution dialog box. At the end of the program Magic xpa enables you to repeat it by displaying the Execute Again dialog box. The Cancel button is the default setting. Press Enter to terminate the program.
