Description

OLE Variable and BLOB Variable as OLE Content (Magic xpa 3.x)

There is a great distinction between an OLE attribute field and a BLOB attribute field set as an OLE display style.

A BLOB field set as an OLE control appears as an embedded OLE object on the form and to let the OLE application handle its display, content, and manipulation. Magic xpa simply displays the object, enables the end user to modify it by activating the underlying application and store its binary content.

An OLE field is used for OLE automation capabilities. An OLE field cannot be placed on the form and cannot be displayed by the Magic xpa application.
