License Environment Settings (Magic xpa 3.x)
The License File environment setting specifies the location of the License.dat file. This setting must have a value entered. Otherwise, Magic xpa does not know how to find and load the license file. The format for this setting is:
licensefilepath;portnumber@hostname
Where:
licensefilepath is an alternate License.dat path, if the License server is not found, followed by \license.dat.
portnumber is the TCP/IP port number of the License Server, as shown in the installation setup screen. In Magic xpa, the port number is 744.
hostname is the name of the host where the License Server is installed, as shown in the installation setup screen.
You can specify more alternate license.dat files, separated by a semicolon. For example:
LicenseFile = C:\FlexLM\license.dat;D:\Magic xpa x.x\License.dat;744@KERENS_LP
A Magic xpa site must have one central license file that is always accessible to the installed Magic xpa products. Magic xpa looks for the license file in a predefined location, according to the product being used, in the location specified in the LicenseFile Magic.ini environment setting.
When an attempt is made to exceed the number of licensed users or instances, Magic xpa displays an error message stating that the maximum number of users has been reached. The License Server writes a similar message to the log file.
