Java Class Connector – How To (Magic xpi 3.x)

The steps below explain how to use the Magic xpi Java Class Connector. See this Technical Note for further information on the Java Class Connector.

  1. In the Magic xpi Studio, open an existing flow or create a new flow.

  2. Find the services icons in the Components pane at the left of the screen. You can display only the services by selecting Connectors from the drop-down list at the top of the Components pane.

  3. Drag the Java Class Connector to your flow.

  4. Enter the configuration details, and then click Configuration to open the Java Class Connector Configuration dialog box.

  1. In the Class name field enter a name for the Class you want to access. If you know the name of the Java class to use, enter it and skip to the next step. If you do not know the name of the class you want to use, see the explanation below:

    1. Click the button to the right of the Class name field. This displays the Select a Class screen.

    2. Select a Java class from the list and click Select.

    3. From the list of Constructors or methods, select a method and then click Select. The Java Class Connector Configuration dialog box is displayed again.

  2. Click Method to open the Method Details screen to complete the configuration so you can use the Java class.
