Description

Invoke (Magic xpa 2.x)

The Invoke operation is used to access third generation language programs, external applications, Web Services, and COM objects as described below:

  • COM Object – Handles a COM object defined in a task.

  • OS Command – Executes applications outside the scope of Magic xpa, such as accessing a spreadsheet or a word processor.

  • User Procedure (UDP) – Returns values from third generation language programs.

  • Web Service – Lets you call a Web Service using an external product: Systinet Server for Java (SSJ).

  • Web Service Lite – Lets you call a Web Service directly (same functionality as eDeveloper V9.4). Since version: 1.8 SP1

  • .NET – Handles a .NET object defined in a task.
