Installing a License Server (Magic xpa 3.x)
If your license is a software-protected license, you will need to install a License Server. There are two ways to install the License Server:
Together with the product, by selecting the server as part of a Custom installation. Select the check box next to the FLEXlm™ License Server component.
After you install Magic xpa, you can always install the license server at a later stage by selecting the Modify installation option. You access this from the Magic xpa entry in the Windows Add/Remove Programs window.
The two License Server installation options described above will lead you through the same process. Just follow the instructions as they appear on the screen.
If you decide not to install the License Server, you will need to specify whether you want to:

work with the demo default license file directly without a License Server

use an existing license file

connect to a license server
The License Server is automatically installed in the C:\FlexLM folder and you cannot change this location.
