Installation Prerequisites (Magic xpi 4.14)

Before installing, you need to verify the following prerequisites:

  • The xpi server installs Windows services and therefore the user profile under which the xpi installation is made, need to have the appropriate permissions to run a service.

  • All application servers have network access and read/write permissions for the Magic xpi admin user to access the shared projects folder.

  • IMM is deployed as a Kubernetes cluster and therefore requires a Linux host with Kubernetes as a prerequisite. This could be a provided by a VM or a Ubuntu app installed using WSL on Windows.

For the proper communication between xpi server and Kubernetes cluster, clocks on all hosts must be in sync with tolerance offset of not more than 15 seconds. For more information, refer to Timezone Setting for xpi Monitor.
