Google Resource (Magic xpi 4.1)

Note:

This resource is used for the Google Calendarā„¢ component and the Google Driveā„¢ component.

The Google Resource Setting window contains the following parameters (parameters in bold are mandatory):

Parameter

Description

Proxy

Specifies if the Internet connection uses a proxy or not (default).

Proxy Address

If a proxy is used (above), enter the proxy server address to access the Google connection (the same as is entered for Internet connection).

Proxy Port

If a proxy is used (above), enter the relevant port number to access the Google connection (the same as is entered for Internet connection).

Authentication/Authorization

Specify the authentication type that you want to use. Select one of the following options from the drop-down list:

  • Client Login (default)

  • OAuth 2.0

Credential's Data Store

A read-only field containing the path to the credential's data store. This points to the StoredCredential file, which is located under the relevant Google resource in your project.

User Name

The Gmail address associated with the calendar, for example: xyz@gmail.com. This field is available only if the Authentication/Authorization Type field (above) is set to Client Login.

Password

The Gmail account's password. This field is available only if the Authentication/Authorization Type field (above) is set to Client Login.

The Google resource also gives you the following buttons:

Validate

Click this button to verify that the connection to the Gmail account is valid. You will receive a message indicating that the connection is established, or an error message if the connection failed.

OAuth 2.0

Click this button to open the OAuth 2.0 Authorization dialog box.

Note:

If you rename, delete, or load an existing resource using the Load Preferences feature, no changes are made to any physical files other than the resources.xml and services.xml files. Files are not copied during this process. You must therefore make these additional changes manually.
