Flow Variables (Magic xpi 4.9)
The Flow Variables repository is a storage area that is used by the flow components to save and retrieve data items. You can use flow variables for managing flow logic. The value of the flow variable is available in the context of the flow it is defined in.
To define flow variables:
-
Open the Flow Variables repository in one of the following ways:
-
-
By double-clicking Flow Variables, under the relevant flow in the Solution Explorer.
-
By parking on the relevant flow and pressing Ctrl+L.
-
Click Add to create a new line in the list.
-
Define the variable's properties. For a full description of these properties, click here.
-
When you have entered the relevant properties, click Save.
-
You can remove variables by parking on the relevant line and clicking Delete, followed by Save.
|
-
You should assign a unique name to each flow variable in the project. When flows share the same context (this occurs in a parent-child relationship), Magic xpi does not differentiate between flow variables with the same name even if they were defined in different flows.
-
If an invalid entry is used, Magic xpi displays an error icon . A tooltip describes the error. Since version: 4.5.
