File Splitter (Magic xpi 4.5)
The File Splitter component splits a file into several smaller files and regroups split files.
When a file is transferred between different locations it can be useful to split it into smaller parts for a more efficient transfer. The File Splitter component splits files into smaller parts and regroups the split files to re-create the original file. This File Splitter component is written in Java.
Note:

The File Splitter component splits a component by:
-
Splitting a large file into smaller files according to the number of lines that you define.
-
Splitting the file into a pre-determined number of parts.
-
Splitting the file according to size (for example., you can configure the component to split the file into equal parts).
The component gives each split file the same name with an extension index such as 1. In addition, a control file (the same file name with index 0) will be created. The control file contains information about the split operation, such as the number of files created and the size of the original file.
When you regroup files you must specify the folder where the files are located and the file name (without an extension).
