External Code Page (Magic xpi 4.13)

This setting lets you enter a code page identifier that is used for external data conversions. It affects the code page of HTML pages of a browser task and also interfaces with Java, COM, DLLs, and Web Services.

The default value set in the installation is the system code page. If you want to work with another language whose code page is different from the operating system, you should specifically set that language's code page in the ExternalCodePage field. If no value is assigned, the system's default code page is used.

The value in this setting does not affect the Email component.
