Error in the Step (Magic xpi 3.x)
When there is an error in a step, Magic xpi exits the step (except for Data Mapper and SAPB1 steps where you can set the error behavior in the Error Behavior property to Exit or Continue). The C.sys.ErrorCode variable is updated with the error and the Error Handling mechanism goes to work.
This property is available for Data Mapper and SAPB1 steps.
-
If you select Continue, when each error occurs, the error handling flow is called and when it finishes, the step execution continues.
-
If you select Exit, when an error occurs, the step execution ends immediately and any mapping or operations defined after the point where the error occurs are not executed.
In Data Mapper steps only, if you define the behavior as Exit, but in the error handling flow you do not update the error code as the last step, the error is cleared and the Data Mapper continues to the next record. This lets you override the Exit settings at runtime.
