Description

Email – Configuration (Magic xpi 4.14)

The Email component lets you send and receive email messages.

When you place the Email component in a flow, Magic xpi automatically opens the Properties pane for the component. You should enter the requested information in the Properties pane. Then, double-click or right-click on the component and select Configuration from the context menu to open the component's Configuration dialog box.

The properties in the Properties pane become part of an activation BLOB that is defined during the configuration process.

Before you use the Email component, you should first define an Email resource in the Settings dialog box's Resources section. If you are going to use it as a trigger, then you also should define an Email service in the Settings dialog box's Services section.

The dialog box displayed depends on whether you use the Email component as a trigger or as a step in the flow. When you use a component as a step in a flow, you can select from the following interfaces:

Configuring Email with Microsoft 365 Server

Before using the Email component with the Microsoft 365 Server some additional configurations are required to be done in the Microsoft 365 admin center to enable the SMTP AUTH support. This can be done by following the steps given below:

  1. Go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center (https://admin.microsoft.com/)

  2. Login with a user who has admin rights to the Office 365 organization. Non-admin users will not be able to perform this operation.

  3. Once opened, go to the Active Users under the Users menu.

  4. Select the user name for you are going to send emails from, and go to the Mail tab.

  5. In the Email apps section click Manage email apps.

  6. Enable Authenticated SMTP and click Save changes.

Once these steps are done you should be able to authenticate using the respective account.
