EJB – Trigger Configuration (Magic xpi 3.x)

The Component Configuration: EJB dialog box contains the following fields:

Name

Description

Service Details

Service Name

Read-only. The service name that you entered in the Service Repository.

Operation Name

This drop-down list contains the names of the operations that you created in the Service Repository's EJB Operation dialog box.

Argument Details

Name

Read-only. This contains the arguments that you created in the Service Repository's EJB Operation dialog box.

Type

Read-only. The argument type that you defined in the Service Repository's EJB Operation dialog box.

Format

Read-only. The data type's format that you defined in the Service Repository's EJB Operation dialog box.

Java Type

Read-only. The Java type that you defined in the Service Repository's EJB Operation dialog box.

Java Class Name

Read-only. The Java Class Name that you defined in the Service Repository's EJB Operation dialog box.

Mapping Variable

The arguments are received by the trigger and are mapped to your variables.

Click to open the Variables List. Choose the required variable, and click Select.

Select Location for the Argument XML

Click to the right of the field to open the Variables List. From the list, select a variable as a location for the XML results.

Return Parameter Details

Type

The data type that you selected in the Service Repository's EJB Operation dialog box.

Java Type

The Java type that you selected in the Service Repository's EJB Operation dialog box.

Picture

The returned parameter's format that you defined in the Service Repository's EJB Operation dialog box.

Value

Click to the right of the field to open the Expression Editor. Use the editor to enter the value of the return parameter.

To configure the EJB component as a trigger, follow these steps:

  1. Define an EJB service in the Service Repository. For more information, click here.

  2. Place the EJB component into a flow's trigger area to open the Component Properties dialog box.

  3. Click the Settings tab, and select the required Service Name from the drop-down list. Click Configuration to open the Component Configuration: EJB dialog box. This dialog box displays the operations and arguments that you defined in the Service Repository's EJB Operation dialog box. Enter the relevant information in the accessible fields.

  4. When you have finished configuring your EJB trigger, click OK to save the settings and to exit the dialog box. Alternatively, you can click Cancel to exit the dialog box without saving your settings.
