Domino – Trigger Configuration (Magic xpi 3.x)

The Component Configuration: Domino dialog box contains the following fields:

Name

Description

DB Type

This read-only field displays the type of Domino database that is being used as the trigger. You defined this type in the Service Repository's Domino Service Details dialog box.

Watch

This read-only field indicates whether the flow will be triggered based on an event or on a field in Lotus Notes. You defined this in the Service Repository's Domino Service Details dialog box.

Events/Fields (varies according to the Watch type selected above)

The events or fields that are relevant to the selected DB Type. This is read-only.

Selected

The fields or events that you want to use in your project are checked. This is read-only. You defined these in the Service Repository's Domino Service Details dialog box.

Arguments XML Location

Click to the right of the field to open the Variables List. From the list, select the variable where the XML results are sent.

To configure the Domino component as a trigger, follow these steps:

  1. Define Domino as a service in the Service Repository. For more information, click here.

  2. Place the Domino component into a flow's trigger area to open the Component Properties dialog box.

  3. Click the Settings tab, and select the required Service Name from the drop-down list.

  4. Click Configuration to open the Component Configuration: Domino dialog box. This dialog box displays the databases and events/fields that you defined in the Domino Service Details dialog box. These are used to trigger the flow. Select a variable from the Arguments XML Location field.

  5. Click OK to save the settings and to exit the dialog box. Alternatively, you can click Cancel to exit the dialog box without saving your settings.
