Defining Database Files in IBM i Using DDS (Magic xpa 3.x)
To define database files in IBM i using DDS:

In the OS/400 Library, which is the IBM i database, use the CRTLIB MYDATABASE command.

Create the physical source file using the
CRTSRCPF MYDATABASE/QDDSSRC command.

To define database files, use the IBM i STRPDM command, and select Option 3, Work with Members.

Specify the DDS Source file name and the Library, and press ENTER.

To define a new physical file, press F6, specify Member Name and Type = PF. Enter the DDS source as shown below, and compile using Option 14.
