Debugger Timeout Configuration (Magic xpi 4.13)

Magic xpi gives its user easy access to the Debugger's timeout settings so that the user can configure the Debugger to work in an optimal way with a particular project.

To configure the Debugger's timeout settings:

  1. Click the Tools menu, followed by Options.

  2. In the Options dialog box, click Magic xpi Debugger, followed by General.

This dialog box contains the following settings:

Complete Context Action Timeout

Sets the maximum time that the Debugger will wait for the Complete Context action to be executed. If this time is exceeded, the user will have to refresh the view manually. The default is 3 seconds.

Default Context View Action Timeout

Sets the maximum time that the Debugger will wait for the Context View action to be executed. If this time is exceeded, the action will be aborted. The default is 30 seconds.

Default Graceful Stop Interval

Sets the time the server will wait for internal processes to be completed before stopping the project upon the execution of a Stop action. The default is 5 seconds.

Default Scheduler Refresh Interval

Sets the Scheduler's refresh time interval. The default is 5 seconds.

Start Project Timeout

Sets the maximum time that the Debugger will wait for a project to start. The default is 120 seconds.

Step Action Timeout

Sets the maximum time that the Debugger will wait for a step to be executed before refreshing the view. If this time is exceeded, the user can refresh the view manually once the step has been completed. The default is 30 seconds.

Stop Action Timeout

Sets the maximum time that the Debugger will wait for a project to stop when executing the Restart command. If this time is exceeded, the Restart operation will be aborted. The default is 60 seconds.

  • The user can also access the Options dialog box by clicking Debug xpi, followed by Settings.

  • The Debugger's timeout settings will be editable when the project is running in a debug mode. (Since version: 4.9)
