Data Mapper Service - How to (Magic xpi 3.x)

To begin using the Data Mapper service:

If you are using the Data Mapper to configure a component using an XML interface, start with step 3.

  1. Find the services icons in the Components pane at the left of the screen. You can display only the services by selecting Services from the drop-down list at the top of the Components pane.

  2. Drag the Data Mapper service into a flow. Magic xpi automatically opens the Data Mapper Configuration dialog box.

Note:

The Data Mapper service can also be accessed via the configuration of a flow component.

  1. In the Data Mapper configuration dialog box, enter the Configuration Details.

  2. Click Configuration and the Source/Destination Management dialog box opens.

  3. From the Source section, click New.

  4. Enter a name and select the file type you want to map.

  5. Click the Properties button.

  6. Set the properties for the Source. See Source/Destination Dialog Box for more information.

  7. Repeat steps 4-7 to define additional Sources. You can define up to 99 Sources.

  8. From the Destination section, select New.

  9. Enter a name and select the file type you want to map.

  10. Click the Properties button.

  11. Set the properties for the Destination. See Source/Destination Dialog Box for more information.

  12. Repeat steps 9-12 to define additional Destinations. You can define up to 99 Destinations.

  13. To delete any of the entries, click the Delete button.

  14. Click OK to close the dialog box and confirm the configuration.
