Conversion Details Screen (Magic xpa 2.x)
In this screen, you indicate whether you are converting an application, part of an application, a component, or keeping the reference for a previously-converted component.
For each export file there are four possibilities (the order entered is not important):
-
Convert an application – The utility converts the application to Magic xpa.
-
Convert a component – The utility converts the application to Magic xpa, and finds all of the references to the MCF or MFF in all of the Component repositories in the conversion list (the first screen). Then, the utility changes their references to the newly created ECF.
-
Keep reference for previously converted component – The utility points to the references of this component to the previously converted cabinet file. By doing this, we do not have to convert the same application twice. This is useful if we have a component with models, which is used in a number of different applications.
-
Convert part of an application – This option cannot be combined with other conversion types in the same process. However, all the other options can be added one after another and all of them will be converted in the same process. Therefore, this option is only enabled if you have not yet selected one of the other options since starting this session of the utility.
You can select additional V9 export files using the Add button.
Depending on which option you select, you then fill in the application details and/or project details.
Version 9.4 Application details
|
V9 Export File
|
The location and name of the V9.4 export file.
|
Application Prefix
|
In V9.4, tables that did not have a physical table name in the Table repository received an internal name that was made up of the two-letter application prefix concatenated with FIL and 00x, which was the line number in the Table repository. uniPaaS now requires the user to provide a table name and will no longer provide one automatically. By entering an application prefix here, the utility will automatically enter the relevant file name into the new Data repository.
|
Component File Name
|
This will only be valid when selecting to convert a component or when selecting Keep reference. The utility will take the name of the component (which may be an mff or an mcf) and change any reference to that file name in the Component repository (Composite Resource Repository) with the uniPaaS cabinet file.
|
uniPaaS Cabinet File
|
This will only be valid when selecting Keep reference. The utility will replace all references of the component with the uniPaaS cabinet file.
|
uniPaaS Project Details – This section will not be displayed when Keep reference is selected.
