Component Class Types (Magic xpi 3.x)

Magic xpi components can be developed in any 3GL language. Magic xpi provides specific support for uniPaaS-based components.

Available class types are listed in the Class Type Repository. This repository shows whether a class type is editable and the editor used for each class. You can change the command line for the default editor used for components in each class, however whether a class type is editable is pre-determined by Magic xpi. You cannot change this information.

To change the default editor for a component class type:

  1. From the Tools menu, click Class Types to open the Class Type Repository.

  2. In the Command line field, enter a command line to the default editor, or click to the right of the field to browse to select a command line location.

  3. Click OK.

Note:

You can change the command line for a specific component in the Component Repository.
