Communications Settings (Magic xpa 2.x)
The Communication repository lists all of the communication drivers loaded by Magic xpa. These drivers will also appear in the Communication list selection window. The communication drivers are used to connect the local Magic xpa to host Magic Servers.
Communication repository information is contained in the [MAGIC_COMMS] section of the Magic.ini file.
The Communication repository includes the following columns:

The communication identifier (#) used in the project. Magic xpa sets this column automatically.

Name
|
The Communications driver name. This property is provided by Magic xpa according to the drivers detected in memory.

Timeout
|
Defines the duration of time, in seconds, of no response from the receiving end before the driver reports a communications failure to Magic xpa.
Note: This setting is no longer supported.

Parameters
|
Contains customization information that is transferred to the Communications driver at runtime, such as a range of ports, which is used by the engine to bind as a requests server.
|
|
ID
|
Lists the internal code used by Magic xpa for identifying the communication protocol.
The ID property should not be modified.
