Close Task Window (Magic xpa 2.x)

The Yes value tells Magic xpa to close (that is, remove) the task window when the task ends. The No value tells Magic xpa to leave the task window with its final content on the screen when the task ends. When executing the same task again, the task will be opened in the last window that remained open. Note that some of the properties that affect the window, such as the Main Display task property or the form size and location properties, will be ignored.

A task with the Close Task Window property set to No is known in Magic xpa as a phantom task. It is a task that although closed, keeps its window open.

Note:

  • Phantom tasks are not supported in Rich Client tasks. See also Phantom Tasks in Rich Client.

  • An SDI form cannot be defined when the Close Task Window property is set to No.

When the Parallel Execution task property is set to True, setting the Initial Mode property to As Parent will appear as an error when you run the Check Syntax.
