Business Process Variables (Magic xpi 4.13)
Business process variables are defined in the scope of a business process. The business process variable's definition is available to all the flows in the business process. Business process variables are defined once for all the flows in the business process. Changes made to a business process variable in any flow affect all other flows in the same business process.
Since business process variables are shared by all servers belonging to the same running project, these values are stored in the Space and not in each processes' memory.
Best Practices
|
|
Use business process variables in the same way as you would use global variables. However, remember that they work at the business process level only, and not across a whole project.
|
To create business process variables:
-
Under the relevant business process in the Solution Explorer, double-click BP Variables to open the BP Variables repository.
-
Click Add to create a new line in the list.
-
Define the variable's properties. For a full description of these properties, click here.
-
When you have entered the relevant properties, click Save.
-
You can remove variables by parking on the relevant line and clicking Delete, followed by Save.
