BAM Messages View
The BAM Messages view shows the different BAM messages that are defined in the BAM Service. To display BAM Messages, you can go to the View menu and select BAM Messages.
The BAM Messages view is divided into the following areas:
The Navigator pane is identical to the one in the Monitor View. For more information, click here.
This pane allows you to determine the information that is displayed in the BAM Messages view. You can filter the information displayed in the viewer for each object.
You can choose ranges for which to display the message different parameters. To do this, click the Filters button. The Change Filters dialog box opens. This dialog box shows the BAM Service configuration parameters, which are described below:

Display
|
Defines whether a property is displayed. To include a property in a filter, select its check box. To remove a property from a filter, clear its check box.

Filter Name
|
Shows the property name.
|
Filter
|
Displays a list of the property values. You can select which value to display by clicking .

You can set the range of displayed properties according to a date and time or according to a flow ID, as shown below:

Date and Time Range
|
In the From and To entries, zoom (click F5 or double-click) to open a calendar window and select the date range. For the time fields, you can enter times in hour, minute and second format.

FSID Range
|
In the From and To fields, enter flow sequence IDs for the required range.

When you have defined your filter properties, click OK to save the settings.
The BAM Messages area displays information regarding the BAM messages defined by the user in the BAM Service configuration.
Using the filters and ranges to display required information on the Monitor, help you keep track of the BAM messages in your project.
The following information is displayed in the BAM Messages Viewer Lines area:

Objects by <group>
|
Displays the BAM object and its path.
|
Message
|
Displays the text of the BAM message that you defined in the BAM service.
|
Category
|
Displays the category that you defined in the BAM service.
|
Priority
|
Displays a number which represents the priority that you defined for the BAM service.
|
Status
|
Displays the returned status for the BAM message that you defined in the BAM service.

User Key 1
User Key 2
|
These columns contain the data that you defined when setting up the BAM service.

Note:

When you run a project in the Magic xpi Server, the messages appear in the BAM Message Log according to how you format them in the Log Properties. These messages remain in the log until you clear them.

BAM messages are not supported in the DB2/400 or Pervasive internal database.

To clear all messages in the BAM Message Log, click from the toolbar.
