Application Public Name (Magic xpa 4.x)
The ApplicationPublicName environment setting provides a way to set a different name for the project by which the middleware (Space or Magic Broker) will identify the project.
This setting is available only by manually setting it in the .ini file. (It is not available from the Environment settings dialog box.)
The expected value for this setting is a string value, up to 30 characters in length.
This entry is in the [MAGIC_ENV] section.
If this property is not set or set to blank, the application public name will be the project's file name (excluding the suffix).
For example, if you want to refer to the application by APPNAME=”ABC” then the following should be set in the [MAGIC_ENV] section:
ApplicationPublicName=ABC
Modification of this property at runtime (using INIPut) takes effect after restarting Magic xpa.
Note: When starting projects using the GS-agent (from the projectsStartup.xml file), the project name is automatically used as the value of the ApplicationPublicName setting. Since version: 3.2
