Description

64-bit Background Engine for Studio

In this setting you can select to start 64-bit runtime engine from xpa studio.

When 64-bit Background Engine for Studio is set to Yes and Deployment mode is set to Background, then 64-bit runtime engine is started from the folder \x64 of the xpa studio installation.

Since version: 4.5

Since the 64-bit Runtime engine starts from the \x64 folder, any references of files present in the xpa installation root folder and are referred using relative paths will not be available to the 64-bit Runtime engine. In such cases you need to either specify absolute paths for them or create links for such files inside the \x64 folder.

For example:

If you wish to start xpa studio using the setting 64BitEngineForStudio=Y in order to initiate the 64-bit runtime engine with the studio, then using the command MgxpaStudio.exe /LicenseFile=License.dat will not work as the file License.dat is not located in the \x64 folder from where the 64-bit runtime engine starts.

In such cases you need to specify absolute paths for the files as given:

MgxpaStudio.exe /LicenseFile=c:\Magicxpa45\License.dat
