Description

Windows as an Internet Server with IBM i as Application Server (Magic xpa 3.x)

In this configuration, the Windows Server runs the software listed below:

  • Microsoft IIS

  • Magic xpa CGI, or ISAPI

The IBM i Server runs the software listed below:

  • Magic xpa Enterprise Server

  • Magic Request Broker as Messaging Server

In this case, the Windows file system must be mounted on the IBM i IFS to enable the Magic xpa Server to create files for the HTTP Server. This can be done using the Network File System, the NFS.
