Object History (Magic xpi 4.1)
From the Source Control menu, select Object History to open the Version Control program's History Options dialog box.
Here, you can define the date range and the user name for the objects that you want to select. Click OK to open the Version Control program's History dialog box itself. This displays the different versions of the object.
For both Visual SourceSafe and PVCS, you can view the Help for these products for descriptions of the various History dialog boxes by clicking F1 when the relevant dialog box is on your screen.

With some Version Control providers, such as TFS, when you get an object from the Version Control history, the Version Control's behavior is Undo Checkout. This means that you must implicitly check out the object in order to work on it. In this scenario, the latest version will not be taken from the server, so you can continue to work on the outdated version.
