License Mechanism (Magic xpi 4.5)
Magic xpi uses a floating license mechanism with an option to reserve a fixed (minimum) number of license threads for your project. Click here to learn how to do this.
Each license entry has an entry for the number of workers (threads) that the server can execute concurrently. The licenses are available for use by all of the projects. The Magic Space acts as the license server. Before executing a flow, the worker will attempt to check-out the license from the pool. When it has finished executing the flow, the worker will check the license back into the pool.
This lets you make optimum use of licenses in a multi-project environment, by sharing licenses between servers. Therefore, when a particular project is idle, other projects can utilize its licenses.

If your license is host locked, you must have one server in your network (whose host ID matches the license's HOSTID flag) running one of the projects. For more information about generating a host ID, refer to the Magic_License_Activation_Procedure.pdf that is contained in your license's zip file.
